New Community Aged Care Access Point

New information you need to know about making referrals for Community Aged Care Services Ph: 1300 130 551 (free call number)

Access2HomeCare (A2HC) is a joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments and part of a national network of community care Access Point demonstration projects across Australia.  A2HC has been created to help older people and their carers find their way through a complicated community care system.

 Three new nurses are available to support GPs to care for people with hepatitis C (HCV) in the Central, Eastern, Northern, Northeastern and Western areas.

These nurses are mobile and flexible and can visit your clinic to provide care and assistance as required, for more information.

National Cultural Competency Tool (NCCT) for Mental Health Services

The NCCT resource pack is designed to enhance the capacity of Australia’s mental health workforce to work with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

It contains a set of National Cultural Competency Standards and a range of practical aids and strategies, including an organisational self-assessment checklist, to support organisations in enhancing their cultural competency.
